Fine Motor Week

This week is fine motor week.  Fine motor skills are just any activity that you do that requires you to use the small muscles that start and end in your hand.  Just like how gross motor skills (walking, climbing, crawling) require big muscles, fine motor skills require small muscles.  There are three main areas that we are going to look at that influence the development of fine motor skills, and each of the group activities will focus on one of these areas: shoulder strength and stability, tactile processing, and finger isolation.
